I am blessed to have lived the life I have lived.
However, I have made many mistakes on my journey through it. I would expect that most of us have.
The beautiful thing about mistakes is they don't have to define you but they can help to mold you into the person you want to be. Its often the most painful mistakes that teach the most valuable lessons.
These are the mistakes that make you question everything, the mistakes that could make you want to quit, the mistakes that are so gut wrenching you lose confidence in yourself and you feel ashamed. They can weaken your pride, bruise your ego, and play havoc with your emotions.
Reality is that mistakes are going to happen no matter how good you think you are.
What defines us, is how we pick ourselves back up. How we choose to deal with our mistakes and what we learn from them.
Its using the lessons from our mistakes to mold ourselves and gradually shapes us into the version of ourselves that we truly desire. In my 50 years on this planet I have learned that things may not always go our way and that no one is perfect. Mistakes are part of growing, and if viewed properly they can give us invaluable experience and wisdom.
I have made many mistakes in life as a person and as a trader. There are so many wonderful and positive things that come from mistakes! You will learn how strong you are, how passionate and determined you can be. Blowing up your account may be a painful experience but it doesn't have to be the end.
Mistakes can teach us a lot about ourselves and others. They can help us identify good qualities in others and use those nuggets of wisdom to improve ourselves.
The key is being around long enough to benefit from the mistakes we make. Forgive yourself for making mistakes and use them to improve.
Sorry if this mornings message is a bit too deep but I came across this mornings quote and it made me do some reflecting on my life.
God willing> I hope I am around for another 50 years so that I can make many more mistakes.
