Words to Remember

Good morning folks, 
We have more Fed speak today that could keep the markets trading in a range. The IBB showed just a hint of weakness and the IWM continues to close above the 122 mark. Oil looks like it wants to go lower and gold also continues to struggle.

U.S. stock futures were little changed in early trading, after perceived dovish remarks from Fed Chair Janet Yellen pushed the Dow and S&P 500 to new records, and the Nasdaq to its third-highest close ever. (CNBC)
Investors will be watching Yellen's appearance before a House panel todayfor any changes to the tone she set before a Senate committee Tuesday, which indicated no rush to hike interest rates. (CNBC)

Senate Banking Committee member Heidi Heitkamp, Democrat from North Dakota, joins CNBC's "Squawk Box" at 8:30 a.m. ET to talk about what she heard from Yellen.

Saudi Arabia's oil minister, in some of his first public comments since prices rebounded from a near six-year low, said crude demand is growing and markets are calm. (Reuters)

Lowe's (LOW) today reported earnings and revenue that beat forecasts. The home improvement retailer also saw comparable store sales increase a better-than-expected 7.3 percent. Meanwhile, Target (TGT) also reports earnings this morning. (CNBC)

Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) beat expectations with earnings, but fell short on revenue. The struggling tech giant also issued late Tuesday lighter-than-expected guidance due to significant negative impact from a stronger dollar.

Apple (AAPL) plans to appeal an order to pay nearly $533 million, after afederal jury found its iTunes software infringed three patents owned by Texas-based patent company Smartflash. (Reuters)

Federal officials have agreed to let Southwest Airlines (LUV) keep flying 128 planes that missed an inspection of a back-up rudder system provided the planes are checked in the next five days. (AP)

Thomas Rothman, who's been working to resuscitate TriStar, has beentapped to take over as chairman of Sony Pictures, a move that risks new turmoil in the wake of the hacking fallout. (NY Times)

Hillary Clinton warned about the "real human cost" of technology taking away jobs. In a Silicon Valley speech Tuesday, the potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidate also called for more executive diversity. (FT)

Senate Commerce Chairman John Thune, Republican from South Dakota, has all but surrendered on efforts to overturn the upcoming ruling on net neutrality from the FCC. (NY Times)

President Barack Obama has vetoed legislation that approved construction of the long-delayed Keystone XL oil pipeline. The Senate is expected to try to override the move next week. (CNBC)

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he'd allow a vote on a Homeland Security funding bill without any immigration provisions attached, which may help avert a partial shutdown of the agency. (USA Today)

At least 20 million Americans were in the path of a winter storm tomorrowthat was expected to dump snow from northern Texas to southern Virginia and threatened to snarl commutes in cities including Dallas and Atlanta. (NBC News)

China's manufacturing sector expanded for the first time in four months in February-surprising investors who were expecting a third period of contraction after stalling in November.
The health of the U.S. housing market again dominates today's economic agenda, when the government releases new home sales for January at 10 a.m. ET. Economists are looking for a 2.1 percent drop to an annual rate of 471,000 units, compared to December's 11.6 percent jump.

Mortgage applications to purchase a home rose 5 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis for last week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association, but were still 2 percent lower than the same week a year ago.

The Energy Department issues its weekly report on oil and gasoline inventories at 10:30 a.m. ET, a report that's been watched especially closely in recent months in light of the slide in oil prices.

After-the-bell earnings reports today include Salesforce.com (CRM),Transocean (RIG), Liberty Interactive (QVCA), Liberty Media (LMCA), andSturm Ruger (RGR).

GoDaddy, the Internet domain name and online hosting services provider, has chosen to list its upcoming IPO on the NYSE, under the ticker symbol GDDY.

STOCKS TO WATCH
Boston Beer (SAM) earned $1.40 per share for its latest quarter, 3 cents above estimates, but revenue and 2015 guidance were well below analyst forecasts.
DreamWorks Animation (DWA) lost a wider-than-expected $3.08 per share, while revenue also missed. The movie studio said revenue would decline this year, because it has only one theatrical release planned for 2015.

Lending Club (LC) earnings met expectations and revenue beat. The online lender's sales and marketing costs more than doubled, and its product development expenses increased nearly threefold.

Wal-Mart (WMT) is under fire from Connecticut Treasurer Denise Nappier, whose office owns $40 million of the retailer's shares. She wants executive compensation to be linked with employee satisfaction. (Reuters)


Toyota Motor (TM) is calling union demands for a $112 per month pay raise "impossible," following the first day of labor talks with its workers.
