If You Must Compare

Good morning folks,
The Fed minutes did very little to impact the markets yesterday and now we can look forward to the Jobs related data due out today and tomorrow. That could be far more impactful if the numbers come in with either a significant beat or miss.

Gold and silver along with the miners continue to defy gravity as the dollar remained somewhat flat and oil put in a little rebound. We will have the petroleum inventory report out at 11 ET that could help determine whether or not that bounce will continue.

Markets around the globe are flat to slightly green while our premarket is also basically flat. The IBB broke over some potential resistance yesterday and I will be watching that sector for continuation. Gold, silver and the miners are getting really extended and I would not be surprised to see a near term pull back.

We could have some choppy action over the next couple days if the employment numbers don't give us any big surprises as we look ahead towards earnings season kicking off soon.
