Yesterday we had a bit of consolidation in some sectors and slight pullbacks in others. The weakness we started to see in gold and silver did not last long as many of the ETF's for the sector bounced back and look like they are consolidating. Oil had a decent pull after the inventory report and that put some pressure on the energy space. The dollar continues to consolidate and may be looking to pull back after the Bank of England has decided not to cut rates this morning.
The IBB came up into short term trendline resistance and pulled back. What we don't want to see is the IBB taking out that 240 level of support creating a new lower low. The SMH had a little indecision candle yesterday and that could be healthy. I would like to see it consolidate over 58.50 and build a base in a nice tight range before trying to take out new highs. The IWM had a small pullback and I am watching for 118 to potentially act as support.
Financials are in play today with JPM and Blackrock both reporting better than expected earnings and lifting the entire sector premarket. That will likely translate into the Dow and S&P continuing the streak of new highs.
