Keep Your Eye On The Goal

Good morning folks, 
I hope you had a great weekend. It looks as though we are getting a bounce in premarket. Apparently the feel good story of a weaker jobs report is carrying over today. (sarcasm)

On the oil front there was a big shakeup in Saudi Arabia with a minister being put in place however it does not appear that the stance they have taken on production is likely to change anytime soon. Canada is another oil story as the wildfire has gotten severally worse knocking out a million barrels of daily capacity and it could stay that way for weeks as they battle the blaze. The oil and specialty chemical companies I touched on in the stocks to watch video could be in play.

We have some weak numbers out of China this morning casting a shadow over hope that their economy has turned the corner and on the road to recovery from their stimulus efforts. Germany on the other hand had a nice rebound in manufacturing orders.

The positive earnings and guidance out of TEVA and HZNP could help  the struggling sector today. 

Gold appears to be under a bit of pressure this morning remember to keep an eye on the dollar strength.
