Indexes around the globe continue to sell off an we have another gap up on deck. Yesterday was the worst one day reversal since 2008. Volatility is back in a big way and that is great for those nimble enough to take advantage of the wild swings. As we discussed this weekend, this is a market where you sell the rips until we have built a base of support. This is not the same old buy the dip and hold because in a week we will be making new highs. Events like this usually don't correct themselves in a day or two and we are likely to have many more wild days ahead. No one knows how long this will take to play out or where and when it be over.
The most important part of the trading day is the close lets see how it plays out today.
Keep an eye on the energy sector for signs of bottoming and oil finding support.
Know your strengths and weaknesses and if are struggling in this market environment there is no shame in just sitting on the sidelines. Use the time to identify targets for your ideal setups.
