U.S. stock futures rose sharply early Mondayfollowing European markets higher, as crucial meetings of euro zone leaders and finance ministers were conducted to discuss new reforms offered by Greece. (CNBC)
After months of wrangling and anxious depositors pulling billions out of Greek banks, the country's leftist government showed a new willingness this weekend to make concessions to avert default. (CNBC)

Health insurer Cigna (CI) has rejected Anthem's (ANTM) $47 billion takeover proposal, the latest back-and-forth in an industry poised for consolidation. (Reuters)

Williams Companies (WMB) has rejected a buyout offer from Energy Transfer Equity (ETE) worth $48 billion, but the natural gas pipeline firm said it's open to other offers. (WSJ)

Apple (AAPL) has made a U-turn over artist royalties for its new music streaming service, after pop megastarTaylor Swift said she was holding back her "1989" album. (CNBC)

Comcast-owned Universal's "Jurassic World" and theDisney-Pixar debut "Inside Out" grabbed the top two spots at the weekend box office, with $102 million and$91 million in domestic ticket sales respectively. (Reuters)


A privacy rights group today plans to file a complaint against Uber with the FTC over a new policy that gives the ride-hailing service the right to track users even if they're not currently using the app. (USA Today)

BY THE NUMBERS
Besides Greece, U.S. economic reports also figure prominently for investors, starting with expectations for the 10 a.m. ET existing home sales for May calling for a 4.2 percent increase, following a 3.3 percent drop in April. Later this week, data on durable goods orders, new home sales, GDP, jobless claims, personal income and spending, and consumer sentiment are out.
There are no earnings releases scheduled for this morning. Meanwhile, restaurant chain Sonic (SONC) is the only company on today's after-the-bell profit report schedule.

STOCKS TO WATCH
American Airlines (AAL), Delta Air Lines (DAL), United Continental (UAL), and Southwest Airlines (LUV) could see their shares rise 15 to 50 percent due to lower fuel costs and a lack of competition, according to Barron's.
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is considering various strategic alternatives, including a breakup or a spin-off of various businesses, according to Reuters.

Facebook (FB) plans to unveil new mobile ad formats at an advertising conference in Cannes, France today. Separately, Microsoft (MSFT) plans to release new content related to its HoloLens technology at that same conference.


Fitbit (FIT) shares are jumping in pre-market trading this morning, after chalking up gains in its first two days as a public company at the end of last week.
