Which one are you >?


Good morning folks, 
If you are one of those people that is drawn to Penny stocks I have a new tab on the blog called "Penny Stock Reality" It is a great article on how thing can work in penny plays. 

We are flashing green this morning >lets see if that can hold through the day. I hope you had a chance to watch the video this weekend and were able to identify one or two setups that may be your style. 

Oil hit new lows premarket if it continues to fall it could get ugly. It turns out Putin was not abducted by aliens so that should calm the markets down a bit. Like I said in this weekends videos the IWM and IBB both look as though we could have continued strength.

IN THE NEWS TODAY
U.S. stock futures were higher in early trading, ahead of this week's Fed meeting, and after a third straight week of losses for the Dow and S&P 500and two straight negative weeks for the Nasdaq. (CNBC)
Anticipation of a Fed rate hike has recently been sending ripples through financial markets. Investors may get more hints on the timing, after the central bank's two-day meeting ends on Wednesday. (CNBC)

Apple (AAPL) investors are looking for a turnaround, following three weeks of losses in a row, despite last week's smartwatch unveiling and the stock's upcoming inclusion this week in the Dow. (CNBC)

The battered euro hit new 12-year lows against the dollar early this morning, before recovering. Meanwhile, oil prices were under pressure again, with U.S. crude trading under $44 a barrel at one point. (CNBC)

The dramatic drop in oil prices and the transfer of wealth to consumers is going to be very painful for the oil and gas industry, Bob Dudley, CEO ofBP (BP), told CNBC. It comes after the oil major said it would invest $12 billion in Egypt. (CNBC)

Salix Pharmaceuticals (SLXP) has agreed to an improved takeover offerfrom Valeant (VRX) of $173 per share in cash. The two sides had agreed to a $158 per share deal, but last week, Endo (ENDP) came in with a cash-and-stock offer worth $175 per shar

General Electric (GE) has agreed to sell its GE Capital consumer lending units in Australia and New Zealand to KKR-led consortium for $6.26 billion. GE has been shrinking its financial services arm since the financial crisis. (Reuters)

BlackBerry (BBRY) has launched a tablet in partnership with IBM (IBM) and Samsung, aimed at government and enterprise customers and coming a few years after a failed bid in the consumer tablet market. (CNBC)

MSG (MSG) CEO Tad Smith has left that job to take the top spot atSotheby's (BID). He'll be replaced on an interim basis at MSG by James Dolan, the president and CEO of MSG parent Cablevision (CVC) and the Executive Chairman of MSG.

The arrest of wealthy eccentric Robert Durst, who's suspected in two killings and his wife's disappearance, came ahead of the finale of an HBO show about his life in which he said he "killed them all." (AP)

Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared for the first time in public in 11 days Monday, following much speculation about his whereabouts. In a documentary this weekend he said that Russia was prepared to put nuclear weapons on standby over the conflict in Crimea last year. (CNBC)

Singer Elton John has called for a boycott of the designer label Dolce and Gabbana, after Italian designer Domenico Dolce called children born through in-vitro fertilization treatment "synthetic." (CNBC)

Beginning today, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said he'll be taking "extraordinary measures" to temporarily pay the government's bills, while Congress decides on whether to increase the debt limit. (Reuters)
While pondering the Fed's next move, investors get February industrial production and capacity utilization figures at 9:15 a.m. ET, with forecasts calling for a 0.3 percent rise in production, and a slight increase in capacity utilization to 79.5 percent. At 10 a.m. ET, the National Association of Home Builders is out with its monthly sentiment index for March.

There are no major companies expected to report earnings this morning, but Eastman Kodak (KODK) and Molycorp (MCP) are on the short list set to release quarterly numbers after the closing bell.

Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk said Sunday the electric-car maker is planning a Thursday news conference to talk about ending "range anxiety," or worries about running out of power on the road. (USA Today)

Facebook (FB) has released a new, much longer version of its Community Standards, guidelines for what's allowed and accepted on the social network with regards to issues like nudity, bullying, and spam. (Re/code)

STOCKS TO WATCH
Studies of a new class of experimental cholesterol-lowering drugs signal they can reduce by half the risk of heart attack compared to standard treatment alone. The findings were presented this weekend at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology. Amgen andSanofi/Regeneron have filed for FDA approval for drugs in this class.
Medtronic's (MDT) CoreValve non-invasive heart valve replacement wasmore effective than surgery after two years, according to study results presented at the cardiology meeting. Meanwhile, Edwards Lifesciences(EW) saw similarly upbeat results for its heart valve replacement.


AstraZeneca (AZN) saw mostly positive results in a study of the long-term effects of its heart drug Brilinta. The findings, presented at the cardiology meeting, found the drug can cuts the risk of death or another heart attack or stroke by 16 percent.
