Happy Friday

Good morning folks,
We have the jobs number this morning which is always interesting.

If the number is too strong and more people are getting jobs than were expected that is great for the economy which could be bad for the stock market. If there aren't enough jobs created and it misses the expectation by a good margin that would be bad for the economy but could be good for the stock market.

The number will be out before I finish this post and should give us an idea which direction the market is headed off the news.

So the number was an absolute blow out!
Much higher than expectations and after a brief pop to the upside we saw red across the board. Gold was also getting whacked and oil drifted lower as the dollar continues to climb. Now things have settled a bit and the market are now showing some green again.

It could be a wild day as the talking heads try to absorb and then decipher what the strong jobs number will do to the stock market.

The financials should do fairly well today since interest rates are likely to rise sooner than anticipated off the strong number.
