Good morning folks ,
Earnings season has begun and in the market that is what really matters. Regardless of what the market is doing there will be companies that stand out because of strong or weak earnings reports. Its not just about the earnings for that last quarter though. The market is forward looking so its often the guidance that moves a stock as the current quarters earnings can already be price in UNLESS its a significant earnings miss or beat. It can be a risky time to hold stocks overnight into earnings. Stocks can often rally into earnings only to pullback after results are reported so be careful if you are a swing trader and make sure you are comfortable with your position.
Time is our most precious commodity, it's important to recognize what really matters and make the most of the time you have been blessed with.
