I hope you were able to navigate this week and take advantage of all the volatility we have been experiencing. Yesterday was my most challenging day as once we had our morning pop it seemed as though everything I tried to play had hit a wall. Its not all that surprising since we have the jobs data coming out this morning and the could potentially determine the direction of the markets moving forward at least in the near term.
Whatever the numbers are, we need to remember that good news can be bad news and bad news can be good news. Often times the initial reaction is the wrong one, so we wait for things to settle a bit before we go jumping into any trades.
Overall, its been a very good week and I will be looking to close the week out strong. However, if I can't find a setup where the risk reward ratio is extremely compelling I have no problem sitting on my hands and closing the week out protecting my gains and getting prepared for next week.
