So I am uploading this weeks watch list as I write this and as usual it is a fairly extensive list. We are entering earnings season so there are bound to be all kinds of opportunities presenting themselves over the next several weeks.
While I do look for quick day trades for income, I also look for swings and potential long term holds. The economic data we have been getting lately has not been very good and could signal that we are slowing down in terms of growth. What I find interesting is this is happening right before the "sell in May and go away" scenario that we hear about every year right around this time. So even though I am looking for swings, I will be quick to get out of them if the market goes into a heavy distribution phase. Swings can pay off big time when they work ($ACAD comes to mind) but they can also do a lot of damage to your portfolio if you get caught holding and hoping during a market correction.
It doesn't appear that I have all that many people watching the videos so I may not be doing them much longer. For those of you that are checking them out, I hope they are helpful and I appreciate you taking the time. There are a total of 4 for this week and I have not even completed all my scans but I really like what I have so far.
